Larry Harris opened the doors in 1986 with a commitment to quality, that is still our #1 concern today. Our progressive approach has helped us grow into a leader in the grain handling & storage equipment industry. We offer new grain handling and drying equipment, repairs and maintenance, in addition to design, fabrication and millwright work. Midwest Ag. Systems, Inc. has grown from a small 1 man operation in 1986, into a thriving business with design, fabrication, millwright, repair and maintenance available at our 5-acre facility. Our entire staff is eager to work with each client to make their grain facility the safest, most efficient and technologically advanced facility possible. Our work force of dedicated and trained employees can construct and maintain your grain handling, storage and conditioning equipment.

Midwest Ag Systems, Inc. provides installation of grain drying equipment, including concrete work, initial start up, warranty work, preventive maintenance, and repair work for all types of grain handling and processing equipment. Our fabrication shop has the equipment and skilled workers to design and fix almost any piece of farm equipment. The biggest part of our business is the design and installation of grain storage and handling systems. Midwest Ag Systems, Inc. has installed and maintained approximately 100+ grain dryers and 30+ Top Dry systems. Our specialty is new total systems, where we start from scratch and build a great system. However, we also pride ourselves on our ability to maintain or integrate an older system that other dealers just shake their heads at and walk away from. We will find a way to increase capacity and efficiency, using design abilities and fabrication skills to create a system to solve your problems.
Since our start in 1986 with 3 employees, Midwest Ag Systems, Inc. has grown to over 20 employees serving customers for 100 miles in all directions from their location in southern Indiana. As a GSI dealer, Midwest Ag Systems, Inc. specializes in providing complete grain handling systems. We offer qualified design teams, experienced crews, professional sales and service representatives, and durable equipment that is easy to operate. CAD drawings, of the system set up, of the GSI Grain Dryer, and of future expansions are utilized for all projects. Each service person takes annual classes for continuing education on the servicing of dryers. Customers recognize our work as “excellent quality at a fair price”. Our extensive fabrication shop gives us the ability to create unique solutions that others do not have access to. When we combine that with our design experience, it makes us unique. Our expertise with augers puts us ahead of the game. We have assisted GSI manufacturing with auger issues, a specialty we are proud of. We have customers that drive several hundred miles just to have augers repaired.
Midwest Ag Systems, Inc. carries complete insurance, including liability, for all projects until completion and final payment of the project.
Larry Harris, founder and President of Midwest Ag Systems, Inc. has owned the company since 1986 and worked in the industry for more than 40 years. He consults with other key employees on overall scheduling and coordination, however he tries to maintain his focus on selling and design work, especially for grain systems. Larry Harris says, “Probably the thing I am most proud of is our people. We just have a great team that seems to work quite well together.”

Jeff Harris started working in the business with his father when he was 14 years old. He is now the Sales and Service Manager. Jeff is responsible for the scheduling and assignment of jobs for the outside construction and service crews as well as working in construction, maintenance and repairs with a crew in the summer. In the fall, he does mostly technical service work. When he is not out on the job site, Jeff does some sales and helps with the design for grain systems. After graduating high school, Jeff studied at Vincennes University and now has over 20 years of experience with the company.
Steve Bryant, the office manager, comes to us with a degree in business administration from University of Southern Indiana and is the backbone of the in-house daily working of the business. Steve worked in the field during summer months while in college and joined MAS full time upon graduation from USI. He now has over 20 years experience with the company. His main responsibilities today include purchasing, bookeeping and control of the inventory. He also handles walk-in customers, phone questions, orders, and sales for walk-in customers.
Scott Middleton is the System Layout Specialist. Scott started with MAS while a student in college and joined MAS upon graduation, 20 years ago. He has an associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Southern Indiana and does all of the grain system design work and all of the CAD drawings. He also takes care of the scheduling for the fabrication shop and the shop employees. Scott also handles walk-in customers, phone questions, orders, quotes, and inside and outside sales when he can find time.
Keith Igleheart is our main road crew foreman. Keith has been with MAS for over 25 years. He brings prior experience in maintenance and construction of farming operations. He specializes in the installation and maintenance of bucket elevators, auger installations, dryer installations, etc. Keith is responsible for the construction crew and proper installation and repairs of large and small on-farm facilities and repairs.
Patrick Mullican has been with MAS for over 5 years now. He has grown up in the farming community and has worked around farms for most of his life. He has completed GSI dryer service school and tower dryer service school. He is currently a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army National Guard in which he has been enlisted for 16 years. His responsibilities include, dryer service, troubleshooting, installations, repairs and specializing in smaller repair jobs. He is also responsible for inspections that are tied to the company’s maintenance programs. During the busy periods of business, Patrick and his crew can also be assigned to bigger jobs with Keith or Jeff.
Aaron Driskell is the crew foreman and is responsible for our in-house grain bin building crew. He is responsible for the hydraulic bin jacks, along with all the tools and equipment necessary to construct grain bins and Top Dry systems. This equipment makes building bins up to 60 feet in diameter another advantage of using Midwest Ag. for complete grain system additions to customers farm facilities. Aaron has been with the company for over 6 years.
Support Staff of 10 work on crews and in the shop. Two members of the support staff work full time in the company’s fabrication shop. A counter clerk greets customers and helps out with all sorts of office duties. Two support crew people for technical repairs. MAS also has an experienced CDL licensed delivery driver for moving equipment and delivering goods to the jobsite. MAS has 5 person in-house experienced grain bin building crew and constructing equipment needed for the crew to build grain bins up to 60 feet in diameter.

Facilities
We have a five-acre facility located in Reo, IN just West of Rockport, IN. In the main building, we currently have five offices and a reception/counter area just off the showroom. We have added storage space off the main building for parts, large and small. Our fabrication shop is connected to the main building by a covered walkway. About five years ago, we added a large “out-going” storage building where deliveries are organized until they are ready to move to the job site or for customer pick up. We also have outside yard storage for galvanized tubing, transport augers, and other larger inventory. In addition to the main facility, Midwest Ag. has a satellite parts storage and sales building located in Posey County, IN to better serve customers in that surrounding area.
